I remember as a young Lakota child, watching my family dance each summer under the scorching heat of the South Dakota plains during Sundance ceremony—a sacred and time-honored tradition of the Lakota people. I was captivated by the sight of their bodies adorned with beautiful regalia, but my eyes were always drawn to my mother among the dancers. She would dance for DAYS and not get tired. She was grounded in spirit and body.

Across the spectrum of human civilization, many cultures hold a deep and profound reverence for the Earth, viewing it not merely as an inanimate dwelling place, but as a living entity imbued with healing and restorative powers. Between Aug 2019 - July 2020, Lin et. al. launched a study to explore grounding's potential to treat various issues in patients with mild Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer's, a degenerative brain disorder, affects memory and thinking, leading to dementia in 60-80% of cases.
